Rudy from SLATS is as good as any interior designer in helping you decide what would look best for your window treatment. They did plantation shutters a few years back for my living room and just last week installed shades in my dining room. I needed to block the sun but wanted flexibility to see through them or have them give me privacy. Rudy found the perfect and most elegant blinds for me. I LOVE how my dining room looks and have just the flexibility I needed. Plus he had them hung in a way to showcase the window instead of hide the molding.
